Kelly Services Norway announces a collaboration with Crown LNG with office located in Oslo. Our collaboration with Crown LNG will involve deliveries of well-experienced technical project personnel across disciplines based on ongoing needs.
Crown LNG is a Norwegian group focusing on the development of LNG terminals as a gravity-based structure (GBS) in concrete located on the seabed. This solution will be able to withstand the harsh weather conditions offered by the Indian monsoon season, enabling a 365-day operating window for the terminal.
In July 2021, Crown LNG announced Aker Solution as its main contractor for the delivery of GBS to Crown's offshore LNG terminal in Kakinada, India. Siemens Energy and Wärtsilä Gas Solutions are key subcontractors to this project.
The LNG terminal will be built with an annual re-gasification capacity of 7.2 million metric tonnes per year. It will support India's gas initiative and help reduce carbon emissions. Crown LNG intends to develop the LNG terminal as a gravity-based structure located on the seabed approximately 11 kilometers off the coast of Kakinada. Not only will such a solution be able to withstand the harsh weather conditions offered by the Indian monsoon season, it will also help to relieve busy ports and keep dangerous substances away from populated areas.
"By choosing this approach, we enable a 365-day operating window without imposing unnecessary environmental and safety burdens on the local community in and around Kakinada. This is in line with our philosophy of acting responsibly no matter where in the world we operate »- Gunnar Knutsen (CEO Crown LNG).
In addition, Crown LNG works on projects in the USA, Vietnam and the UK.
We look forward to recruiting skilled consultants for Crown LNG!
